Balkan Fashion Week 2017 will be the first fashion week in history to be held in a movie studio. Nu Boyana Film Studios will become the biggest fashion ambassador for Eastern Europe. Balkan Fashion Week will feature the biggest names in fashion from around the world, supporting the growth of young talent. It is a professional forum that brings together the various participants in the fashion industry. Bulgarians will have the opportunity to meet celebrities such as Rossi De Palma, Waris Ahluwalia, Tim Yip, and Eric Damon. Mark Happel will present successful examples of art performances and installations in collaboration — fashion and ballet art.
Special Guests
Lebanese top designer Abed Makfouz will be a special guest, showing his latest collection on June 9. He is an especially favorite fashion guru of many stars of world show business. The iconic brand is a symbol of quality and luxury with its exquisite collections of evening and bridal gowns.
Presentation of various fashion presentations combined with live music performances will take place on the sets of Boyana. Undoubtedly, the streets of New York, London and Rome will be only part of what can be seen at the event.
During the event, the creator of the first fashion film festival Diane Perne will also be a guest. This will be his first edition in 9 years, firstly outside of Paris, then in a cinema studio. Its program includes selection in various categories of short films related to current topics affecting the fashion industry. The event brings together the most influential names in the fashion industry to reward those who deserve a platform. Recently, it has been led by world-class designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Rick Owens and many others.
